The staff of the lobby travel agent was not that kind.
Many of the staff are friendly and I think I was able to speak almost in English. I think there are two large pools, a children's pool, and a bath-like pool. During the GW period I visited, a large amount of algae was generated and I could not enter the sea, but the sand was white and very beautiful. All the dishes we ate in the hotel were delicious. We did not use room service, but it seemed to be so. There was also a restaurant where you can eat snacks. Dinner can be enjoyed at restaurants that require a bit formal reservation, buffet style restaurants, and teppanyaki restaurants that are limited to the day of the week. There are not so many restaurants, but the food offered seems to change daily. When you visit, 300Bs was taken, so please be careful if you have a suitcase. The reasonable price as of May 2019 is 200Bs. It is about 10-15 minutes by taxi from the city center. We walked away with a beautiful new lamp that is truly a piece of art, along with a few gifts for family. The glass blowers begin with a small blob of dense glass which they heat in the kiln on the end of a pole. They are heating and blowing glass into unique shapes right in front of you. Now in their new location you can watch the glass blowers at work over their red hot furnace. Now they have a large showroom filled with glass, anything you can possibly think of, from swizzle sticks to chandeliers and everything in between. The artists at Vidrio Soplado Mexicano have created some beautiful works of art. Since then they have moved to a new location on the non-touristy west side of the main highway. Two years ago this Vidrio Soplado Mexicano was a small, dusty warehouse of glass just off the highway going into Playa del Carmen.
